Different Types of Braces in Burlington

There various kinds of braces in Burlington that you can choose from depending

on your needs and preferences. Each type of braces in Burlington can bring a unique set of pros and cons that should be taken factored in when selecting the best teeth-alignment treatment. Here are your options for braces in Burlington:

Traditional Metal Braces in Burlington

The most common type of braces in Burlington is the traditional metal ones. This kind of braces in Burlington involves brackets and wires that are attached to your teeth and are adjusted by your dentist occasionally. Metal braces in Burlington are considered the most affordable orthodontic alignment treatment that gets the job done.

However, most people who have tried traditional braces in Burlington find it uncomfortable and somehow inconvenient. This is because the metal brackets and wires of conventional braces in Burlington have a tendency to scrape and puncture the insides of your mouth.

Recently, dentists are now utilizing heat-activated wires on metal braces in Burlington. This innovation uses your natural body temperature to move the teeth more quickly with less discomfort than the previous method used for traditional braces in Burlington.

Ceramic Braces in Burlington

If you are looking for a more discreet orthodontic treatment for crooked teeth, you can opt for ceramic braces in Burlington. Made with tooth-colored material, this type of braces in Burlington blend more naturally with your pearly whites compared to the traditional ones. Ceramic ones also work just as fast and effectively as the metal kind.

Although they are somehow better to look at, ceramic braces in Burlington are more expensive than the traditional orthodontic tool. This type of braces also requires better care and maintenance to avoid staining.

Lingual Braces in Burlington

Similar to the traditional teeth aligners, lingual braces in Burlington are also made out of metal. However, instead of it being placed on the outside, this type of braces in Burlington is attached to the inside of your pearly whites. By doing so, lingual braces have the advantage of being invisible to other people. But, they are more pricey than the conventional and ceramic kind.

There are quite a few challenges that people who opt for this type of orthodontic treatment encounter. First, it brings more discomfort since they come in direct contact with the tongue. Second, it takes more time to align your teeth. Lastly, these are harder to clean.

Invisalign Braces in Burlington

Made with customized clear plastic trays that are worn over the teeth, Invisalign is the most popular choice among orthodontic patients nowadays. This type of braces in Burlington does not include any brackets and wires and can be easily removed whenever you eat and drink to avoid staining.

Invisalign comes with several plastic aligners that are designed for each of the phases within the treatment plan. The entire process will help you achieve the desired result within a period of 12 to 18 months.
