Whether you want a Hollywood smile or have dental alignment issues that are causing you daily discomfort, getting braces in Belmont can make quite a difference in someone’s self-esteem and quality of life. That’s why so many people are going to the dentist and opting to get orthodontic treatment.
After you have your braces in Belmont installed, you now have the task and responsibility to maintain them well. This is to avoid complications during the process of your treatment and help ensure great results once it’s time to have your braces in Belmont removed.
Care Tips for People With Dental Braces in Belmont
Whether you have metal, ceramic, or lingual braces in Belmont, keeping your mouth and teeth healthy and well looked after is crucial. There are several steps and things you can do and consider to keep your braces in Belmont in excellent condition. Here are some useful tips to help you take care of your teeth and dental braces in Belmont.
Clean the Brackets and Wires of Your Braces in Belmont Thoroughly
Pay specific attention to each tooth and wire and bracket of your braces in Belmont when you brush every day. Make sure that no food particle or plaque is stuck between your teeth and braces in Belmont.
However, do not scrub too hard to avoid damage. Brush with just enough pressure to ensure your teeth are clean. Carefully go over each surface to remove buildup and remaining food particles from your braces in Belmont. Do this after any meal.
Floss Between Your Teeth and Braces in Belmont
Avoid buildups and excess plaque when you have braces in Belmont by taking the time to properly floss. Doing this will also get rid of trapped food in your braces in Belmont. Having leftover debris between your teeth can result in an accumulation of foul-smelling bacteria in your mouth.
That’s why it’s important to make it a habit to floss your teeth and braces in Belmont at least once a day. For an even better oral hygiene, you can go the extra mile and floss after all of your meals.
Watch What You Eat While You Have Braces in Belmont
Orthodontists advise against eating hard, sticky, and/or chewy foods because they can damage your braces in Belmont. Some examples of snacks you should avoid eating when you have braces in Belmont are licorice, popcorn, chewing gum, hard candies, nuts, rollups, etc. Softer edibles are highly recommended for people wearing braces in Belmont since they are easier to consume.
Additional Tips To Take Care of Your Braces in Belmont
- If you don’t have a toothbrush with you, you can vigorously wash your mouth and braces in Belmont with water or mouthwash instead after a meal. This will help dislodge stuck food and make your breath fresher.
- If you are experiencing chafing inside your lips due to the brackets and/or wires of your braces in Belmont, place dental wax on them to prevent it from happening again.
- Don’t miss your appointments and always listen to your orthodontist; they know what’s best for you and your braces in Belmont. Always come in for your scheduled checkup and cleaning to keep your mouth healthy while you’re still wearing braces in Belmont.

State-of-the-Art Technology for Patients
Varallo Orthodontics believes that to provide the right solutions for every patient, we have to make sure that we have the power of technology on our side. Our practice is equipped with some of the best machines in the industry. Some of them include:
iTero Intraoral Scanner
We use this machine so our patients can avoid the uncomfortable experience of having their dental impressions taken. The advanced 3D imaging technology in the iTero Intraoral Scanner allows us to capture an accurate imprint of your teeth and bite and make adjustments. Afterward, we send the generated result to one of our partnering labs for faster construction of your braces.
Digital X-Ray Machine
For a clearer and more accurate x-ray of your teeth, we use a digital machine that uses significantly less radiation while still delivering crisp images. The generated result allows Dr. Varallo and the team to ensure that you get a better diagnosis and receive subsequent treatment.
Some patients hope to have their orthodontic treatment expedited as much as possible. AcceleDent allows us to speed up your teeth’s movement through cyclic forces while you’re biting on the vibrating mouthpiece for 20 minutes. With this device, your dental adjustment’s duration can be significantly reduced!
Braces have a reputation of being painful for patients. With the Damon System, however, we hope to provide our clients with a more comfortable option for their treatment. The memory-shape wires allow for quicker and gentler adjustment so you can have a better smile with less unpleasantness.
